Pros:
- It's Quiet
- Runs at great temperatures
- Excellent performance for the price
Cons
- Will not keep advertised 1270mhz clock speed out of the box (thought it can be easily fixed with included software)
As a side note I am currently pairing this with a FX-6300 Clocked in at 4.3Ghz any CPU worse than this will affect your Framerate as my processor already bottlenecks the card in some games I tested.
It has plenty of power once tuned in right, it's just a pain to get tuned right. On default settings this card runs too hot and throttles too quickly. Asus set the max temperature for throttling to 75C unlike most cards which throttle around 85C so it will throttle at least once every minute creating terrible stuttering. This card also does not reach it's intended clock speed without power target and voltage adjustments. In my experience a carefully tuned overclock and custom fan curve are absolutely necessary to get all of this card's potential.
Once tuned correctly this is a very good card for gaming at 1080p, this can max out any game I throw at it and fly through with 60+ frame rates in pretty much every game I own.
To sum things up, this card has a lot of potential but it takes a little bit of patience and time to get everything you can out of it.
If you have experience overclocking graphics cards and have the time to tweak this to make it work then this is a great card.
If you are more hands off and just want things to work I would not recommend this card, there are other RX470s that do not share the problems that this one carries and would be much more enjoyable for alot of people.
I have gotten to know this card pretty well and honestly enjoy it a lot, it could be that my card is unique and most people will have none of the problems that I've had, but based on my experience I would urge you to be cautious about this card. If you are up for a bit of a challenge in the beginning, then this is an awesome card.
It targets 65c for the temperature so it keeps nice and cool while also staying relatively quiet. It also can pack quite a punch. For example battlefield 1 it does 40fps minimum on ultra whilst being in the thick of the battle. Another example is Ark:Survival Evolved which does 60fps on high settings. On ultra though it does about 25fps which is understandable because that game is just beautiful. Another nice thing about this card is the aura software for the led. The software has many settings but my personal favorite is the color relative to gpu heat that would let you know if it was getting too hot for some reason.
TLDR: Great Performance, Great Cooling, Great Software, Great Price.
I bought this card for $199 dollars on 25 Oct 16, but I've seen the price go up since then. It's worth the higher price, but I would still wait for it to come down to it's $199 suggested retail.
Here is a great video that talks about the performance of a RX-480 with an FX-6300. It convinced me to go ahead and purchase the card even though my processor was a little slow for it.

Update: it's now been two years. I'm downgrading this one from a great card to a good card. The RX 470 is still fully functional but an issue. It seems as though the fans are subpar. The bearings in the fan closest to the IO ports have worn out. The one toward the front of the computer it's still pretty firm but the one to the left is wobbly. Eventually it will seize up but it's still working right now. still works but the squealing gets on my nerves.

Video drivers can be a hassle at times but I get the feeling thats a general video card problem no matter the brand. The tools are available to roll back and forth.
It's good for overclocking and playing most modern demanding games at 1080p 60fps and higher. It's really good at that actually.
Now, bear in mind that overclocking means drawing more power to the card, so it's best to have a psu that's gold standard or higher at a good wattage (550 or above).
For my PC, I have had to turn down games to high or medium ( Shadow of Mordor, The Forest) but they still look great and the video textures are simply too large for the card, frankly. But, doing so has stabilized the games for a smooth experience, so no problem there.
The product is very good and and can run almost every latest game at 1080p, and the best thing about this graphic card is it does not require any extra power to run I was using Asus GTS 450 and it required extra power with 4 pin power but the performance was not close to this little monster
For online gaming like CS GO and rocket league this is the absolute charms since it can able to play them on 4k also
And for future proofing this card is very good because of the direct x 12 and Vulkan support I will recommend this card to every one who is tight on budget and want to build a decent gaming PC
