Micro USB to USB C cable a must
It is possible to sync this with player with your Android phone! Required a micro USB to USB C cable in my case, then phone wanted to format player. After 'formatting' it put an android folder in root directory but lets phone slowly transfer files over.It is not the best podcast player by any means! My shows are 3 hours long and the wrong track button push you'll lose your place and have to hold fast forward/rewind for a minute to find your place again. I started bookmarking my place before I shut it off.I use it primarily for the Bluetooth function and a convenient pause button clipped to my apron at work. Takes some time to get it set up correctly, but it will remember the last connected Bluetooth device and automatically connect. I connect to my hearing aids so I have to remember to shut off Bluetooth on my phone...You can create folders on player for convenient 'playlists'. I have not tried the fm radio as I use Bluetooth VS wired headphones. One major complaint I do have is that the player software evidently does allow playback speed to be increased...but only with wired headphones. Grrr

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent inexpensive and very reliable MP3 player with Bluetooth capability.
Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2021
This player is impressive! Has an easy to navigate menu system. No hassle support with SD cards. Features a quick user interface, only take a few presses to toggle between functions. Best feature of Bluetooth connectivity is that it remembers that last Bluetooth device connected, so when powered on automatically reconnects. Worked excellent with Apple Air Pod Pros, AKG Y50BT, and Xiaomi AirDots. All three could be connected with ease. Impressed with the signal to noise from the Oakcastle DAC, no hiss, multi volume increments. Player can be adjusted to just a barely audible level. Auto-shut off works excellent. No issues with FLAC or 320Mbit MP3 files. Best tiny, cheap, and non-phone solution for a small Bluetooth MP3 player that just works as advertised. 200HRS use, no issues. Battery is excellent with an average of 5hrs.+ Highly recommended. Plastic construction is very precise and plugs into the USB for charging/data transfer with no issues on the connector. Only negative is that on occasion the player does not automatically reconnect to the Bluetooth when powered on, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Is an excellent product if you want to listen to music without using your phone. Unexpected feature was that the Bluetooth range is insanely far and does not distort if the maximum distance is exceeded. Bottom line is that the Oakcastle MP100 does not disappoint. This is a welcome replacement for a 2011 SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip, but with the added versatility of Bluetooth.
