Product Description

When it comes to ultralight sleeping pads, the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm Ultralight Backpacking Air Mattress offers the most warmth-per-ounce for backcountry pursuits. Trusted by mountaineers worldwide, the XTherm delivers lightweight packability, boasting a 6.9 R-value for year-round warmth (R-value measures the material’s ability to insulate; the higher the R-value, the warmer the sleeping pad). Proprietary reflective ThermaCapture technology traps radiant heat within the pad, while the Triangular Core Matrix minimizes heat loss during sleep. Baffled internal structure provides support and comfort in a 2.5-inch inflated mattress, for a restful night in the backcountry. The two layers of triangle baffles create hundreds of individual cells to retain warmth and protect from the cold. Available in two styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve, or equipped with the WingLock Valve which is able to inflate a pad three times faster than a standard valve thanks to a larger barrel and optional one-way inflation. Standard Valve models include stuff sack and repair kit for fixing punctures, and WingLock Valve models include a pump sack (for easier, breath-free pad inflation), a stuff sack and a repair kit. Made in the USA. Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.

Like most people stated its a little noisy but i ...
3 Stars
Like most people stated its a little noisy but i ...
Let me start by saying i used this for backpacking in ultralight on a 3 day hike in for elk hunting. Like most people stated its a little noisy but i was going for high R value and this pad was great for that. Now let me just tell you if your over 5'10 and your tent will fit it get the large. I am 6'2 and 195 and pad was ok but would not think about getting anything smaller. So why 3 stars you ask? Here is why, the mummy style pad sucks. I went back amd bought the rectangle style large max pad after this trip. The exyra few ounces are unnoticable packing with the rectangle pad. If your on any type of slope what so ever the pad does not have a solid edge to hold you in place. You can try and pile gear in tent so it holds pad from turning but still doesn't work good. Let me repeat this buy a rectangle pad. Do not ever think these mummy style pads are good even though i sleep in a mummy sleeping bag. Use mummy sleeping bag on a large therm a rest max rectangle pad.
