    LG G4, Metallic Gray

The revolutionary LG G4 design can only be described as forward thinking—with a classic touch. A ground-breaking camera and display, and cutting-edge design and fabrication, all in the palm of your hand.

    Forward-thinking design

    With a classic touch

In creating the G4, LG designers took inspiration from everywhere to create an ergonomic, gently contoured device crafted from timeless materials. As a result, the smartphone has never looked — or felt — so good.

    Such a pleasure to hold

Whatever finish you choose, the G4’s ergonomically-shaped body form hugs the contours of your hand as much as your hand hugs it. It not only looks good, it feels good too.

    Designed to be unbuttoned

The trademark rear button puts the control right where you want it and off the sides of the device, giving the G4 a smooth, uninterrupted profile. The result is elegantly sleek and functional.

    See the bigger picture

    Take your best shots

Camera performance with the G4 has been enhanced in several significant ways: Resolution, sharpness, speed and versatility have all been improved, and with them, every image you capture and share.

You’ve got it all under control

Go full auto and snap away as usual, or shoot like a pro and fine tune every exposure with advanced controls typically reserved for DSLR cameras.

    Life moves pretty fast

The G4 moves fast too. The rear camera can take a shot with just a quick double-tap of the rear button. Laser Auto Focus helps the camera to focus in an instant, even in low light. Optical image stabilization is also now better than ever too, so you get more crystal-clear images with less worry about camera shake.

It’s time for a little selfie improvement

LG has elevated the art of the selfie with the new G4. With an 8 MP front-facing camera good enough to be a rear-facing camera and a soft selfie light that brightens around the border of the photo preview window, it perfectly captures your most important subject: you.

    Look on the brilliant side

The 5.5-inch IPS Quantum display on the new G4 is brighter, more colorful, and has more contrast than ever before. It’s our boldest and most brilliant yet, kind of like the G4 itself.

    More ways to take notice

How’s the weather? Where is my next meeting? How active have I been today? The new G4 comes preloaded with an entire suite of native software and clever ways to quickly access it, along with important information and notices.

Out with the old. In with the new

Go from day to night to day to night again with a long-lasting, removable battery that you can swap out in seconds. The removable, replaceable battery in the G4 lets you stay on the go while another battery charges*.

    Save your energy

Stay connected and productive without worrying about running out of power. Super Power Saver Mode extends battery life by utilizing new technologies to reduce power consumption and turning off non-essential features at a certain battery level.

    Loving this LG G4 upgrade!

    Loving this LG G4 upgrade!
When I was offered to the opportunity to test and review the new LG G4 I very was excited and it wasn't because it was the latest, greatest, talked about phone; it was because it was newer than the Original Samsung Galaxy S that I had been using. Additionally I had been looking at switching from my current carrier to Verizon and now it made even more sense.Prior to even receiving the phone I went ahead and ordered several cases for it, knowing that I wasn't going to take any chances at it being damaged within the first few weeks use and at the end of my review I'll link to the ones I ordered. When I unboxed it I was shocked at the size. This was much bigger than I was used to, but not as big as some of the phones I know are available. I went ahead and charged it up before attempting to turn it on and in the mean time I read through some of the included user information. Charging it fully took no time at all (just over an hour) and then I turned it on for the first time.Plain and Simple; the display is beautiful. It is crystal clear, with vibrant colors and large enough to really see what you are doing. Also the on screen response is fast and doesn't have any noticeable lag.The sound is very good. I've used it to listen to music with headphones and without, both sounded clear and without distortion even when turned to up all of the way. Additionally the alarm and ring tones sound full and there are many to choose from. And although it seems nowadays that talking is the last thing I do on my phone, it still happens every so often and on the LG G4 I've been told that I come through clear and I haven't had any issues hearing the person on the other end.The platform is Android which I like and being a newer version I haven't run into any issues with the Apps I've wanted to download and use. Google Play is preloaded and because I already had an account it was easy to find my Apps to start. The memory size so far has been more than sufficient for my needs, although I have purchased a microSD card for future use. I currently have three pages of Apps and still have 79% of the memory available.Back to the size of this phone. It is very slim, lightweight and although it's large I still find that I'm able to carry it in the front pocket of my work slacks and also fit it in my small clutch purses. Of course depending on the case you add to it, it can increase the size and weight quite a bit, but my preferred case hasn't been an issue. The best feature for me though has to be the camera and video feature. It takes absolutely gorgeous pictures and amazing video for a phone. With multiple settings you can adjust for so many different photo options, but I love to just snap away on auto. The video impressed me the very first time I used it and it still impresses me each time I use it. *The pictures I have attached to my review are unedited. All were point and shoot except the fruit, which I used 4x zoom which is half of what is available. Now as for why this phone wasn't a five star phone for me, it comes down to the battery. Although I followed and continue to follow LGs suggestions on battery usage, adjusted the display settings, make sure Apps aren't running when not in use and anything else I can come up with; I still find myself needing to charge 7-8 hours into the day. And while the charger that it came with is very quick (the phone knows when you are using a 3rd party charger and doesn't recommend it) I hate that I constantly worry about it going dead. I do carry external battery packs so I always have something to fall back on, but I just don't know why I'm not getting the battery life that I have read about. All in all I do love this phone and I am excited to continue to explore its capabilities and definitely recommend it to anyone shopping for a new phone. Also as a note I should mention that I did not yet switch to Verizon, but have had no problem using it with my current provider. I did have to go in-store to obtain a mini SIM card and have them manually update some settings, but once done it has worked flawlessly.Phone cases I ordered:LG G4 Case, G4 Case, SGM (TM) Damask Design Pattern Rubber Coating Ultra Slim Fit Hard Hybrid Case Cover for LG G4 + SGM (TM) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth (Black) - My preferred case because of the look and size.LG G4 Case, Ghostek Armadillo White LG G4 Case w/ LG G4 Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Slim Armor 4 Layer Case w/ Kickstand for LG G4 GHOCAS267 - Good protection, east to install, but bulky.HR Wireless Frosted TPU Cover Case for LG G4 - Retail Packaging - Purple - Inexpensive and adds some color.
