With a classic touchIn creating the G4, LG designers took inspiration from everywhere to create an ergonomic, gently contoured device crafted from timeless materials. As a result, the smartphone has never looked — or felt — so good. |
Such a pleasure to holdWhatever finish you choose, the G4’s ergonomically-shaped body form hugs the contours of your hand as much as your hand hugs it. It not only looks good, it feels good too. |
Designed to be unbuttonedThe trademark rear button puts the control right where you want it and off the sides of the device, giving the G4 a smooth, uninterrupted profile. The result is elegantly sleek and functional. |

Take your best shotsCamera performance with the G4 has been enhanced in several significant ways: Resolution, sharpness, speed and versatility have all been improved, and with them, every image you capture and share. |
You’ve got it all under controlGo full auto and snap away as usual, or shoot like a pro and fine tune every exposure with advanced controls typically reserved for DSLR cameras. |
Life moves pretty fastThe G4 moves fast too. The rear camera can take a shot with just a quick double-tap of the rear button. Laser Auto Focus helps the camera to focus in an instant, even in low light. Optical image stabilization is also now better than ever too, so you get more crystal-clear images with less worry about camera shake. |
It’s time for a little selfie improvementLG has elevated the art of the selfie with the new G4. With an 8 MP front-facing camera good enough to be a rear-facing camera and a soft selfie light that brightens around the border of the photo preview window, it perfectly captures your most important subject: you. |

Look on the brilliant sideThe 5.5-inch IPS Quantum display on the new G4 is brighter, more colorful, and has more contrast than ever before. It’s our boldest and most brilliant yet, kind of like the G4 itself. |
More ways to take noticeHow’s the weather? Where is my next meeting? How active have I been today? The new G4 comes preloaded with an entire suite of native software and clever ways to quickly access it, along with important information and notices. |
Out with the old. In with the newGo from day to night to day to night again with a long-lasting, removable battery that you can swap out in seconds. The removable, replaceable battery in the G4 lets you stay on the go while another battery charges*. |
Save your energyStay connected and productive without worrying about running out of power. Super Power Saver Mode extends battery life by utilizing new technologies to reduce power consumption and turning off non-essential features at a certain battery level. |

First, my personal criticisms:
1. Battery life has been incredibly disappointing. This has been the worst problem with the phone. It can be quite variable depending on the day I use it. I've had instances where the phone is dead from 100% charge after about only 4 hours of light web browsing. I am not sure if there is something wrong with this particular phone or perhaps the battery that came with this phone (it is used after all) does not hold a charge well. Fortunately it is removable, so I will make an effort to upgrade the battery at some point to see if this makes a difference.
2.The volume rocker and power buttons on the back are incredibly frustrating to use. I frequently run my finger across the camera lens instead of pressing the buttons around back.
3. The phone overall is a bit too large for my hand and is uncomfortably large to operate with one hand. Android doesn't seem to have made one handed operation particularly intuitive on large phones as of Version 6 (Marshmallow). Coming from a 2 year stint on windows phone, I do miss small touches like having the address bar at the bottom of the phone and having menu buttons (with captions explaining their meaning) sitting at the bottom as well.
4. Overall phone design is quite boring. Phone is very plastic-feeling and is noticeably present in my pants pocket.
5. No hardware nagivation buttons at the bottom of the phone.
Otherwise, the phone works well as advertised. Its other tech specs are great for a year-old flagship phone. A few positives that stand out
1. Multi-tasking and apps run smoothly
2. High resolution screen is very crisp
3. Removable battery and micro-sd card slots are a welcome luxury in a flagship phone
4. The phone takes micro-sim instead of nano sim (my personal preference)
5. Bonus IR blaster is nice gimmicky addition for home appliance control
As far as a used cell phone goes, this phone looked almost brand new. I bought from Amazon warehouse deals in "very good condition" and it looks and feels pristine. Overall, for a sub-$200 replacement phone off-contract, I don't think I could have beaten the value of specs to price. Would recommend to friends to buy this phone if in the market for a replacement to their old phone.
I love LG G series a lot, but I had to buy another (new) phone (Moto G4), even with my upgrade in a couple of months, just because of how frustrating this one has been. I forsee bootloop in the future.
This is not a review of the seller, as I knew with the reviews that this phone had some issues. Seller has been great and I recived phone in pretty good condition.
