The keyboard drawer is particle board, not glass or metal, which was a disappointment. The glass is dark, but not opaque. It appears to be tempered glass (it is also labeled as tempered glass). The desk ships in 2 boxes, labeled 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. The instructions are in 2 of 2, the glass and main supports are in 1 of 2.
The maximum desk length is 64.5" on the long side of the L, the short side is 54.5". This is a bit misleading as the corner piece is very rounded, and takes up about 23". Thus you have 41.5" and 31.5" of flat work space with a 23" rounded corner. Assembly instructions are somewhat poor, but the packaging and inventory system are brilliant. A screwdriver is included, but isn't sufficient to assemble (we used other larger screwdrivers). A sort of wrench was provided, but proved useless.
At times the instructions which are only images (Ikea style) were vague. For example it is necessary to open the slides that attach to the keyboard draw, converting the slider into two parts which are each attached separately. The image on this step was weak, and took a bit of guessing to figure out how to open the slider, and which part of the slide was top, bottom, left and right.
All screws, nuts, and bolts, were reasonably good. These were solid, and not as poorly made as similar products I've assembled in the past.
Attaching the glass tops (there are 3 pieces) turned out to be a bit difficult. The tops have metal nuts somehow attached to the glass. The nut holes are covered by a sticky, but thick film. My first thought was to remove the film, but on thinking about it, the film provides a cushion and could limit vibration on the desktop. I used a box cutter to open a hole in the film, and cleaned it out with a screwdriver until a screw could easily be inserted.
Some can probably assemble this solo, but it was at least a two person job in my opinion. The weight of the two boxes is nearly 100 lbs. The PC stand is the least well built part of the unit, and seems to be tossed in. It's not attached to the desk in any way.
At the base of the desk are a somewhat hard dry silicon type plastic which is form fitted to a metal cup. The cup is screwed into the upright supports. No floor scratching occurred when moving the desk after assembly. Instructions provide installation of the short end on the left or right side.
The short desk is the only place the keyboard can be installed. When planning your space, assume the short desk will hold your monitor and keyboard. This may affect the layout of your desk space, or the value of this desk. I'd have preferred the long end hold the keyboard.
Other than those issues it is a very nice desk. It's easy to do cord management with. Assembly instructions are very clear diagrams that don't require any written words. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. The ability to switch the short and long sides of the desk is great. Keeping it clean will be the hardest part of this desk.
So far the seller has gone above and beyond what I would expect. I have received two emails from them. The first one was just a warning that it would be coming in two boxes but they could only have one tracking number. The second was just a check up to make sure everything went well and to contact them if not.
I am very happy to have this desk. It is a good choice if it fits your aesthetic and budget.

So here are some thoughts on the product, assembly and packaging:
This will arrive in two boxes: the smaller box contains the instructions and the larger box contains the three glass panels. Open the smaller box first and make sure you have all of the parts and fasteners before starting.
1) You need a good #2 Phillips screwdriver to assemble this but that's the only tool necessary. You also need a lot of space to put this together.
2) Assembly will be easier with two people. I did it alone and it took about 2-1/2 hours, taking my time and making sure I did everything correctly (I did!).
3) The complaints about the instructions are valid. They could be improved in a few places but they are adequate if you take your time and don't get flustered.
4) DEFINITELY do Assembly Instruction #6 BEFORE doing #5! This is one of the two tricky parts of the assembly process and you'll need to puzzle out how to attach the keyboard tray slides to the support brackets (assuming you are going to use the keyboard tray. The brackets mount in the outboard of the two holes available on each side.
5) This is absolutely "reversible" with either the shorter disk on the left or the right but the keyboard tray ONLY mounts to the shorter desk.
6) The other tricky part of the assembly is bolting the glass tops to the frame. Each mounting point is covered with a piece of cork (cushions against the metal desk frame) and you need to make a hole in each one in order to bolt them to the desk frame (there's a "nut" behind the cork). Easiest way to do this is to push in your screwdriver, turn it a couple times, then use a box cutter or X-acto knife to remove the little pieces this will create but DO NOT remove the cork cushions completely. Do not tighten these bolts more than "just a little firm" or you risk damaging the desk.
7) As you put this together, tighten all the bolts until they are firm but no more than that or you will deform metal and/or strip fasteners.
AOSOM did a very good job of packaging this but there will be a LOT of styrofoam and plastic bag and cardboard waste to get rid of. They could have used cardboard for more of the packaging...just sayin'...
It looks great once assembled and feels fairly sturdy. Note that the glass is NOT black! It is painted black on the backside so be careful to not scratch it during unboxing and assembly. Mine already had one or two very small scratches but not a big deal.
The keyboard tray is about 23-1/2" wide and 11-3/4" deep, perfect for my large Logitech Wave keyboard and about 4-1/2" extra for my mouse (fine for browsing and work but too narrow for gaming).
ONE BIG NEGATIVE ON *MY* desk: the smaller crossbar that goes between the two desks and supports the corner glass panel was poorly welded on one end. This causes the inside corner of the desk to tilt up and not be flush with the two sides (see the attached photo). It's only a few millimeters, or about 3/8", but it shouldn't be like that so I'm knocking off a star. I have emailed the seller for a replacement but I don't think they have replacement parts available, only the complete desks. If there isn't a replacement available, I may try to modify it but I'll probably just have to live with it as-is.
It's got a lot of desk surface: on the short-side, I have a 24" monitor and a 15" laptop; on the corner I have a 18lb printer, and on the longer side I have all of my "analog" writing stuff, knick-knacks and a desk lamp.
There you have it!

I wouldn't recommend for gaming, as the keyboard tray is much smaller than I expected. I measured before ordering but I thought it was still manageable but it's a different perspective when you're actually using it. I should have made myself more aware of that before ordering. The shorter side of the desk could be a little longer - I honestly think it could be the exact same length as the longer side, which would allow for a wider keyboard tray. Additionally, the desk has a glass top which I thought would be fine but I quickly realized it is difficult to keep clean (and that it's a black desk with dark glass top) so the dirt and dust build up quickly - requires regular dusting/wiping down to keep clean.
I like the desk but it still isn't exactly what I wanted, but I can live with it. Improvements that would make the desk design work better include:
- Both sides of the L be the same length or close to the same.
- Wider keyboard tray
- Top made out of a different material than glass.
