This is well worth the money and has no compromises from purchase to ownership, so far.
It is critical to research the quality and "presence" of local dealer or online dealer support. Some 3rd party vendor/dealers are not much more than a P.O. Box address at the shopping mall, while others, such as "Top Mobility" have a strong website and customer support presence.
A good test is to email customer service at the 3rd party vendor that you are ordering from, whether through Amazon.com or the vendor/authorized dealer "fancy website" that looks like a big company, and see if they respond, or call them about something other than buying (salesman) and see how it goes. Some are long time family businesses, IE: "Marc's Mobility (lot's of YouTube helpful vids), that try very hard to help customers, etc. Others, not so much.
For expensive items like this that can need parts or adjustments, etc, and done by the owner, customer service and parts availability is crucial.
The center 3rd large Drive Wheel design works great for indoors and smooth hard surfaces, but does poorly on uneven ground, large high door or entry thresh-holds, and, will get stuck right away on loose gravel, dirt, sand, of anything soft. The center wheel digs in, the outer pair of casters keep the unit up. Not good at all and very dissapointing. It is not as advertised when it comes to this. And, it will get hung up on ramps as well.
The Jazzy Victory Scooter states that it has some capability to leave hard even surfaces without getting stuck. That's not true. The actual "ground clearance" is only an inch or so because of the rear "anti tip" casters. They get hung up is the rear drive wheels are on soft gravel, sand, or dirt, or yard. While one can do a very neat factory looking job removing the anti tip descending frame and rollers with a cutoff wheel, black paint, and 1 inch plastic square end tubing plugs, that would make the unit unsafe and not recommended.
The upshot of al this is that the Pride Mobility makes the "Toyota/Lexus" quality and standard of the electric mobility aid industry, but know exactly what your needs are when buying, and buy from a very reputable dealer, online or physical, with a strong customer service focus, rather than sales and sales and sales.

This is a tentative report which I may modify anon. First impression: I couldn't be more pleased.
It arrived in 2 undamaged cartons. Two eager friends were here hoping to help me unpack and assemble the chair. I guess it took them all of 15 minutes to do that, and a third of the time was consumed searching my shop for the right metric allen wrench. The battery indicator said fully charged, but I disappointed my friends by insisting they push the chair into my house where I would charge the batteries to full before use-- took maybe half an hour for the charger light to go green (charged). My friends had gone home by then. I found mounting the chair (I have only one leg) was easy. I adjusted the seat belt and belted myself to the seat, even though I had the controller set at minimum speed. So. I navigated to the narrowest passageway and found that my friends had been a bit too generous with the armrest width settings. I made it through with some difficulty but without causing any damage-- I found, while belted into the seat, the little knob to loosen to adjust the armrest width-- moved it in about an inch and I can go sailing through the worst bottleneck in my house. Dismounting and mounting to and from the john and shower was a snap because I have installed very good and strong hand-holds in those places. Although I didn't expect to get any splashes on the controller outside my shower, I did wrap a plastic bag around it, which may not be necessary, but better safe than sorry. So, I had fun whizzing (at minimum turtle speed) around my house. Tomorrow I shall venture out on my porch and down my ramp to go show off to my neighbors.
While waiting for the charger to do its thing, using velcro I attached a short retractable dog leash thing to the left side of the seat, it is hooked to the a short grabber, the handle of which is attached with velcro to the seat back-- the open part of the grabber rests upon the bottom of the seat frame. I always have fear of dropping something and not being able to pick it up-- this alleviates my concern. I suggest that Pride Mobility would do well to provide some kind of grabber accommodation on their chairs.
So far I couldn't be more pleased, and I don't expect problems and don't think I will need to update the report-- but I shall if need be.
