This is my first Anuschka bag, and I loooooove it. I had been shopping around for a while, trying to choose which hand-painted design I loved most while also getting the type of bag I wanted. I think I found the perfect combination with this bag, and since it was hard to find reviews of the bag itself, I thought I'd write one here.

I typically carry a small cross body bag, but I can't fit all the stuff I want in it, so I was in the market for something a bit larger, but not anything that felt too big. Personally, I think this bag is a great size and offers a ton of organizational space. The shape is unique, too. The picture really takes center stage on this bag, and the bag doesn't feel bulky either, which I love.

The front pouch is nicely padded and great for a smaller sized tablet. I was worried about the zipper -- the zipper hangs off the end of the main compartment, and I had never had a purse like that before. But it seems sturdy and is easy to open. The compartments are really roomy; the main two on each side offer some nice slip pockets and one has a zippered pocket. The purse came with a coin pouch/makeup bag, soft glasses case and a dust cover.

The painting itself is awesome! I got the Passionate Peacock design. It's vibrant without being over-the-top. The artwork is really something to appreciate (especially after I saw some other brands trying to hand paint their bags -- they were atrocious), but the artwork here is really stunning. You will definitely get noticed with this bag. I'll just have to see how long the bag holds up. I bought the Anuschka Leather Protector and am hoping that once that's on, this bag will last for a long while. Overall, I just love this bag -- both the artwork and the bag itself. If you're looking for something that makes a statement, a bag that has a lot of compartments but isn't too bulky or big, then I think you'll love this!

I have never paid more than $100 for a purse before, but since I hadn't bought a purse in over a year (which is saying a lot, since I collect them more than shoes), I wanted to splurge a bit. It helped that it was on sale for slightly more than $100 off the regular price. I had originally ordered a different Anuschka bag and was disappointed when Amazon emailed me the next day to say it was out of stock and discontinued. This one was a close second when I originally looked at the various styles and designs.

The artwork is amazing! And, it's applied to the leather very well compared to other painted leather products I've seen in the past. It's so stunning, I know I'll get lots of compliments when I'm out and about!

I love all the compartments. When I look for a purse, I won't buy it if it doesn't have an easy access pocket for my cell phone (I don't wish to fumble around inside) and the pocket on the outside of this one fit the bill. I also love that I can put my Amazon Fire HD in the other outer pocket, which will be quite handle when I travel abroad.

The leather is very soft...I hate leather purses that are stiff, but this one is very pliable. I also like that I can shorten the strap to hang over my shoulder or make it longer for cross-body wear.

Bottom line - I expect this purse to hold up well and be much loved. In fact, I will probably purchase an Anuschka wallet in the near future.

It is the finest leather and the art work is amazing......so much in one item....it is truly beautiful. I was afraid that for the price I might be disappointed, but believe me, it is so much more than I ever expected...and worth every penny of the price....I also bought the matching wallet and each piece came with a card that had the name of the artist who did the painting...two different people, same beautiful work....I am so very pleased and would order Anuschka again...I am hoping they produce a winter scene...........if not, there is a fall leaf and acorn scene that has my eye!! I love this handbag--I had asked whether it was big enough to carry my Kindle Paperwhite--it is. Thanks to all who answered and encouraged me to spend a whole bunch of money for a really wonderful bag. I am not sure what the little back pocket slot is meant for---I would hesitate to put anything in there you did not want to lose. I debated between this one and the one with cats. Since I have a lot of peacock stuff --that is what I went with--but the cats are really tempting. Well made--everything closes up with a zipper--cross body strap that I used to call a shoulder bag. Beautifully made.
