Product Description
Liquid Bearings is simply the superior lubricant, because it never gums up or becomes sticky, it will penetrate through old sticky oil deposits and free them, and the application almost never has to be repeated! It just never goes away or gets “old”. Don't use petroleum-based oils or silicone-type sprays on your fans or anything else any longer! Actual oils and lubricant sprays leave sticky deposits when they evaporate over time. Real oil is a mixture of chains of carbon and hydrogen atoms, and under certain conditions the short-chain molecules evaporate, and the unstable molecules oxidize and break down. This leaves a sticky residue which can actually "gum up" the device it was intending to lubricate. Conventional oils also contain sulfur, waxes, and unstable hydrocarbons which are left behind as residue deposits. In contrast, Liquid Bearings, a fully-synthetic compound, is made using a process that re-arranges the structure so all the molecules are uniform in size, shape, and weight, an ideal phenomenon which does not occur in nature. It is custom-designed to produce the ultimate lubricant, with inherent performance characteristics vastly superior to any petro-oil. Liquid Bearings is also essentially odorless, so your hands and clothes won't smell like oil after using it. It is safe to begin using Liquid Bearings on all your possessions immediately, even if you have been lubricating them with conventional oils for years or decades. It is fully compatible with all vintage and current oils, and will flush away the residue of the evaporated real oil over time. You will notice that your items immediately operate more easily and smoothly with Liquid Bearings, especially if you have been using petro oil on them for years. It is plastic-safe, and will not harm any painted surfaces. The bottle is top-quality LDPE, and the stainless needle allows the application precisely. We offer a money back guarantee if you aren’t 100% delighted, so please try it risk free!

I originally was going to source a new motor for it but apparently you can't buy the electric motor that's in it unless its comes with a new fan 😒
I next pondered the idea of machining new bushings for it out of SAE 841 high-speed oil-impregnated bronze but the core-bronze round bar stock cost almost as much as a new fan so I decided not to go that route unless it was a very last resort 🤯
I trying 3-in-1 oil to begin with and that was a mistake. The oil breaks down because of the heat generated due to the bushings and turned it into a sticky, black goo that makes the rotor seize even quicker 😬
Next, I tried this fan oil as a last cheap alternative fix figuring I was being scammed out of my money but surprisingly this fan oil works perfect and done the trick. The fan has run perfectly since I applied the oil and hasn't stuck the rotor once so I'm really happy with my purchase since I was able to save the fan from the landfill and $40+ in the process of not having to buy a new one 😀
I ordered this stuff to try and was not disappointed. I carefully dripped it in my fan in a couple places where it looked like the bearing might be and the noise hasn't returned since.
This was minimal effort for me. Took me all but a few minutes.
Two tips:
1. Rotate or use device after lubricating. This will spread lubricant to entire device.
2. Buy the 2oz version, it is only a couple bucks more but you get twice as much.
Even still, this should last me a very long time.
