Did I find a few black pebbles in my mix? Yes, I found about 12-18 dime/nickel sized smooth black beach pebbles which ironically I was looking to buy but could not find locally. And there was one 3" twig which had not broken down all the way during the composting process. Big deal. Those little pebbles did not increase the bags weight or any silly thing like that. They barely weighed a few ounces nor even filled my entire hand. Certainly would not get in the way of my garden bed success or failure.
After mixing everything up I was short about another bag and though it would be cheaper to buy a $5-8 bag of something else at Home Depot I decided to buy another one of these because I just felt it was better quality. So far my veggies are doing well...but its a hybrid mix of various composts so I can't say this stuff is going to make me sprout green thumbs this season. I recommend the brand...love Amazon shipping, but it is expensive to buy it this way. If you can find it locally then I would actually use nothing but this brand despite all those Youtube gardeners advising a compost mix.
My flowers thrive when using this compost!.
I use it in my vegetable garden as well as my flower garden. It is fantastic.
