Product Description

Park Tool TW-5.2 in use

Park Tool TW-5.2 Ratcheting Click-Type Torque Wrench – 2 to 14 Nm

With the increasing number of lightweight components and torque specifications found on bicycles, torque wrench use in the shop is no longer an option — it’s a necessity for every mechanic. The Park Tool TW-5.2 Torque Wrench is a high quality, ratcheting, click-type torque wrench that accurately measures and applies the proper amount of torque to threaded fasteners. With a range of 2 to 14 Nm, the TW-5.2 is designed for the lower torque settings that a shop or consumer would use for applications such as seat posts, handlebars, stems, brakes, derailleurs, and many carbon fiber components. Comes with its own protective case.

Park Tool Torque wrenches are the best!!!!

Park Tool Torque wrenches are the best!!!!
Very recently I bought these Torque wrenches and was very happy with how well these worked. The TW-5.2 & TW-6.2 are my favorite tools along with the ATD 1.2. For low torque the TW 5.2 torque wrench is perfect. Before purchasing I read a lot of reviews both the good and the bad. A lot of the 1 Star reviews do make sense but clearly some of these people got really crappy product. Besides they could’ve just called or filled out Park Tool Warranty form provide pictures and describe the problem mentioning manufacturer defect, then ether sent/shipped there torque wrenches to Park Tool and have the PT team determine if it could be fixed or if they would send them a FREE replacement product. My torque wrenches work great!! I am very pleased. These are a game changer for me. I was sick of going off of feel “oh that feels pretty tight.” After awhile that just bothered me. Now the only thing is these are expensive and yes I could’ve gone and bought a cheaper brand but the problem is that I already own a park tool SBS-3 socket set so to me it wouldn’t have made sense to buy and different brand, I’m one of those people who like to use matching products, even if I could’ve used a different brand it would work but the difference between this and say Pro Bike Tool which is a ¼ drive with a ¼ to ⅜ adapter to use ⅜ bits the TW-5.2 and 6.2 are both ⅜ drive which the SBS-3 or 1.2 bits are all ⅜ drive bits. So despite the price being a little high, in my opinion I would rather use bits all with the same size socket drive. Plus torque wrenches all have different ranges of torque for example the Pedros Mini Torque Wrench that has a torque range of 3-15nm which is the equivalent of the Park Tool TW-5 not the TW-5.2. Plus oddly enough even automobile torque wrenches which I thought I surely could’ve been able to buy a torque wrench(s) similar to Park Tool, that yielded no results because the highest I see Auto industry Torque Wrenches go is 250 ft pounds that’s too much. Most of the torque for bikes is only in inch pounds, not foot pounds. So that’s another factor one has to consider when buying these is foot pounds to inch pounds, inch pounds to Newton meters etc. At some point id like to do a comparison of the park tool torque wrenches vs the Pro Bike Tool torque wrenches are and see the difference. There maybe, some or no difference at all. I do highly recommend this product especially if you want to avoid stripping fasteners.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for bicycle tool.
Reviewed in Singapore on November 11, 2021
Almost 80% of bicycle torque value within the range from 2 to 14Nm hence this is a must tool to have. Easy to dial to require torque value and great handle. The only complain is that at the lower range value from 2 to 6Nm, the click is a bit soft.
