Customers are mixed about the size of the writing instrument. Some mention it's very compact and fits wonderfully in a pocket, while others say it'd fit better in slender checkbook wallets. I would actually give it 4 1/2 stars if it was an option. The attached pictures are a size comparison between the Fisher Stowaway, FisherTrekker, and a Zebra F-701. I made a pen holder for my Exceed hardcover notebook with a straw and electrical tape. I use the inner pocket of the notebook to carry my ID and debit card so I don’t have the extra bulk of my wallet in my pockets. I am very satisfied with the Stowaway carrying it in this manner. The only issue I’ve had is that the pen has worked its way out of the cap a few times and stayed behind in my pocket (hence the 1/2 star it lost in my rating). I have started carrying the notebook with the pen upside down to avoid this problem. The clip on the cap holds the pen very securely and it has never worked its way out of the holder carrying it this way. I would have opted for the clipless option if I was going to carry it in a kit or tin. It writes perfectly just as any other Fisher cartridge I’ve used in the past. I am overall very happy with my Stowaway and it is a permanent part of my EDC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect tiny pen
Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2016
I just got this today. So I obviously haven't done an excessive amount of writing with it- but I have done some- and I LOVE it! This thing is so little. I was concerned about whether trying to write with such a small-widt-hpen would be a headache, but it's not. I'll use it to write in my journal every day, which is approx one pages' worth of a pocket-size moleskine notebook. I used duct tape to create a little picket to hold it on along the binder, and it hardly changes to size of the notebook. Perfect for that! People complained that the cover popped off quite easily, and I don't seem to see that as much of a problem. Tge pen is so short, but once the cover is fixed on the back it ends up being a good length. The clip was quite snug. I'm very happy with the dark red colour too. Attached pic- and I feel as though the size is smaller in reality than how it looks in the pic. But still good example. And I have very small hands. Overall excellent purchase!

It's a tiny pen. Just like an aluminum foil is wrapped on a regular pr4 refill. Yes it's refillable. Watch Fisher spacepen's YouTube channel. Aluminum body. Signature PR4 refill. Not suitable for regular writing. This is best for carrying to use on the go. Whether to sign or fill out forms. Extremely slim and small. Writes really smooth. Paint job is great. Looks wise, cool. Seller ships it from USA.
